A new discipline within the BRICS Sports Games
The BRICS Formula is a new tournament in the class of high–speed cars aimed at developing the technological potential of universities in Russia and the BRICS countries

The idea of the project is the creation of 10-20 sports and technical teams of the largest universities in Russia and the BRICS countries, the participation of university teams in the Cup car racing competitions.

The league provides its members with 1 racing car, service equipment and 1-2 professional mechanical engineers as teachers. Modern technical universities already have equipped laboratories that allow them to maintain their own racing teams.
The BRICS formula with the participation of universities from different countries will be the starting point for many young engineers from all over the world. It will give a new round of technologies and ideas, which is especially important with a planning horizon of 30 years.

Formula 1 and Formula E make a significant contribution to sustainable development in the world. The BRICS formula will add to the well-known trends and strategies the creation of partnerships with BRICS cities and non-profit organizations for sustainable development. Cities wishing to host BRICS Formula events will have to declare their strategies and join common goals. The BRICS Formula will adhere to the Formula 1 sustainable development strategy and encourage cities to achieve their goals.

Project objectives:

  • Promoting the international image of Russia as the founding country of international student motorsport competitions in the formula class.
  • Education of extra-class racers
  • The practice of engineering students, the formation of stable technical skills among students
  • Annual updating of the competition rules in order to encourage innovative developments from each team, promote the introduction of technologies from sports into industry
